A cutting board of black walnut, irregular in outline, with a handle opening cut through one end.
The wood is black walnut, brown and natural, and the edges are rounded. Boards measure 35.1 x 19 x 2 cm, 32.6 x 19 x 2 cm, or 32 x 19 x 2 cm, depending on the shape. The handle opening gives a place to grip and a place to hang the board when it is dry. Grain and color vary from board to board, so no two are alike. One board comes with each order.
Black walnut is a dense, durable hardwood that holds up well to regular use.
Hand-wash with warm water and mild soap, dry it at once, never soak it or put it in the dishwasher, and condition it now and then with food-safe board oil or cream.
Chop on it at the counter, then wipe it down and carry bread, cheese, or cured meat to the table on the same board.
