The frame and the lid are bamboo, and the lid slides along the top rather than lifting off. Among food storage containers with lids, that matters on a crowded shelf where there is no room overhead. The front panel is transparent, so the level inside can be read without opening anything. Capacity runs from 2 to 3 liters. It comes in natural and in white.
Bamboo holds up well under the ordinary work of dry-food storage.
Hand-wash the bamboo portions promptly with mild detergent and warm water, dry them thoroughly, and never soak them or put them in a dishwasher.
