Two pepper mills in acacia wood, set in a wooden holder that keeps them together on the table.
Each mill measures 8.3 inches tall and 2.2 inches across, and the pair stands 5.9 inches wide in the holder. The bodies are acacia in brown and natural tones, with metal fittings in a gold color. Each one is turned by hand at the rotary knob. The tops lift off for refilling, and the nut at the top adjusts the grind finer or coarser. Acacia grain and color vary from piece to piece, so no two of these wooden pepper mills are marked alike.
Kept dry, mills built this way give long service, while moisture is what damages the wood and dulls the grind.
Wipe the mills with a damp, not wet, cloth, dry them immediately, and never submerge them or put them in the dishwasher.
Fill them with dry whole peppercorns and keep them near the stove or standing at the end of the table.
