The bowl is built from bamboo and wood, cut into segments and joined into the round. Grain and color vary from one bowl to the next. Two wooden serving utensils come with it.
Bamboo and wood serveware of this kind gives long service when it is hand-washed gently and oiled from time to time.
Hand-wash the bowl and wooden utensils promptly with mild soap and warm water, dry thoroughly at once, and do not soak or put them in a dishwasher, microwave, or oven.
We keep the salad bowl serving set for suppers where the greens are tossed at the table and passed down the line, and for holding fruit on the counter between meals.
